The day begins with carefully harvesting massive oyster mushrooms growing naturally on old forest logs. After collecting a full harvest, I bring the mushrooms to the local market and sell them, turning wild forest food into real income.
With the money earned from the mushroom harvest, I return home and begin building a large vegetable garden in front of my cabin, preparing the soil, shaping the beds, and planting fresh green vegetables.
This video shows how simple forest resources, when used wisely, can support a self-sufficient off-grid life — from food, to income, to a growing garden.
