The INCREDIBLE Landscape Photography of Robert Adams: Confronting Photography No. 4

From the earliest days of Landscape photography in the American West photographers have sought to represent the west as majestic, wild, and sublime, but few photographers have turned a critical eye toward our interaction with the landscape. Robert Adams work cuts against long-standing traditions in landscape photography and aesthetics. In this video we look at a few images from Adam's book "What Can We Believe Where?" looking at Robert Adam's black and white photographs from Colorado, where he focused his lens on construction sites, housing developments, derelict spaces and other elements of the suburban landscape to create a specific image of the American west.
