In this video, we’ll explore Bonifacio Global City, or BGC as locals call it, the sleek urban playground in Taguig City, Metro Manila, Philippines. My journey began at Track 30th at BGC, a refreshing green space that sets the tone for wellness and leisure in the heart of the city. From there, I made my way to the iconic BGC Highstreet, uncovering layers of luxury, innovation, and a dash of controversy along the way.

I continued toward Uptown Parade in BGC, a lively commercial strip since 2016, where spots like Tim Ho Wan dim sum had my mouth watering. This area forms part of the 15.4-hectare Uptown Bonifacio township, once military grounds transformed into BGC’s northern gateway. Just nearby, Uptown Mall in BGC stood out as a Megaworld gem opened in 2016, boasting 63,000 square meters of high-end brands like H&M and Daniel Wellington. Its chef-driven dining and the country’s first Tesla showroom earned it the 2025 Retail Asia Awards’ Mall of the Year – Philippines, Megaworld’s third straight triumph.

At the Butterfly Stairs at Uptown Mall, I paused to admire the architectural flair before looping back through Uptown Parade once more. The nightlife scene came alive at XYLO at The Palace in Uptown Parade, one of the city’s most vibrant clubs, drawing crowds for music and entertainment.

As I meandered through BGC, I reflected on its transformation from a former Fort Bonifacio base into a 240-hectare mixed-use estate. Today, it welcomes over 400,000 daily visitors and hosts major firms like JP Morgan. The newest scoop? BGC is closing out 2025 with “NYE at the 5th,” a massive New Year’s Eve countdown concert on December 31, 2025, featuring SB19, apl.de.ap, Parokya ni Edgar, KZ Tandingan, TJ Monterde, Dionela, G22, and DJ Mars Miranda. Hosted by Nicole Andersson and Mond Gutierrez, the event will electrify 5th Avenue with live music, immersive visuals, and a collective celebration welcoming 2026.

The civic spirit of the district shines through events like the Bonifacio March, echoing its historical roots. Residential towers such as Uptown Parksuites highlight the modern lifestyle, while retail giants like Landers Superstore at Uptown BGC cater to everyday needs.

Finally, I wrapped up at Mitsukoshi BGC Mall, the Japanese-inspired retail destination blending culture and commerce. With its curated mix of Japanese brands, specialty dining, and immersive experiences, Mitsukoshi has become a symbol of BGC’s cosmopolitan edge. Ending here felt like the perfect finale—an intersection of tradition and modernity that captures the evolving spirit of Metro Manila’s premier central business district.
