Tebessum Kahvesi is a cafe in Istanbul that opened its doors on World Down Syndrome Day 2016. It currently has 10 employees with Down syndrome, and aims to empower them as well as teach self-confidence. Nearly 1,500 babies are born each year with Down syndrome in Turkey, according to Turkey's National Down Syndrome Association.
