she dreamed of paradise | lacie baskerville

A bit of a change from Korra, although I've been working on this for a month or so now. On and off. I was waiting to see if there was going to be any more stuff of Lacie but it seems we're done with her for now. So I figured I could make this.

Lacie is my favorite Pandora Hearts character, either right behind or even tied to Alice. Her story is so tragic and yet beautiful and I adore and admire her for not giving into the belief that her red eyes brought upon misfortune. They gave Jack and Oswald, especially, anything but that. I felt this song really fit Lacie, especially if you know her thought process and her story. In my opinion, her finally being cast to the Abyss and meeting the Core wouldn't be a Hell, per se. But a paradise. I don't think when the time came for her to be sent down, Lacie had any fear. I think she was even anxious, maybe even at peace, with what would become of her now.

She knew her fate from a very early age. She would have accepted it long ago, and come to look forward to it, so she wouldn't have to wait in fear anymore. She even went to the trouble of preventing herself from making bonds (ex. Jack) because she was afraid she would get attached. In the end, she did inevitably get attached to Jack and that, I think, was her only regret. Along with leaving her brother.. ;A;

So yeah. If anyone has any confusion on why I chose this song, feel free to hit me up and I can explain further? But I think it's pretty easy to understand if you know about Lacie's character. I admit, I cried quite a bit making this. I just feel for her.
