Welcome to the Heavy Spoilers show, I’m your host Paul and this video we’re breaking down You Only Live Twice.

Featuring the first appearance of Blofeld on film, this established the big bad of Bond in one of his most iconic ways. though Dr. Evil spoofed him to oblivion and this movie has Bond getting disguised as japanese man…which…uhhhh may not have aged well….overall this is regarded as one of Connery’s best.
However it would also lead to him stepping back from the role.
Connery would be recast in favour of George Lazenby with him starring in On Her Majesty’s secret service. After this Connery would only live twice as he’d then return for Diamonds Are Forever. So what was it about this film that made him step back and does it still deserve the high esteem it gets?
