Rise in suicide attempts linked to HMRC tax crackdown as MPs slam review

Sky News has learnt another four people caught up in a controversial HMRC tax crackdown known as the ‘loan charge’ have attempted to take their own lives over the past eighteen months.

That’s on top of the ten suicides which have already been reported to the authorities. Sky's Amanda Akass speaks to victims of the loan charge who have attempted to take their own lives, as well as MPs and campaigners who have branded the government’s independent review a ‘cover up’.
