In one recent session with a family, the young person I was speaking with said "I don't know" more than 20 times.

Time and again I hear from parents that they feel frustrated and give up because they don't know how to handle it when their child always says I don't know.

I get it. They're trying to reach out and think they're getting nothing in return to work with.
