GN-0000+GNR-010 00 Raiser

The GN-0000+GNR-010 00 Raiser (aka 00 Raiser) is the combined form of GN-0000 00 Gundam and GNR-010 0 Raiser introduced in season 2 of Mobile Suit Gundam 00. Typically co-piloted by Setsuna F. Seiei and Saji Crossroad, the mobile suit could also be solely piloted by Setsuna.

The GN-0000 00 Gundam was one of the new Gundams deployed by Celestial Being in AD 2312, and the first mobile suit to feature the Twin Drive System that comprised two original GN Drives. By perfectly synchronizing the two GN Drives, the Twin Drive System can produce a GN Particle output that is squared that of a single GN Drive rather than merely doubled. The 00 was expected to have exceptional combat capabilities thanks to this immense amount of GN Particles. Unfortunately, the 00 was unable to stabilize the Twin Drive System by itself, and this also caused its GN Drives to overload when the Trans-Am System was used in battle. To solve these problems, the Celestial Being engineers turned to the GNR-010 0 Raiser, a dedicated support machine for 00 that was also capable of docking with the Gundam to form the "GN-0000+GNR-010 00 Raiser". In the 00 Raiser form, the 0 Raiser used its system to control and stabilize the 00's Twin Drive System, leading to the full operation of the Twin Drive and safe activation of the Trans-Am System. The performance of 00 Raiser exceeded all previous Gundams and was beyond expectations, thus the word "Gundam" was removed from its name as it was considered to have transcended the Gundam category.

Docking of the 00 and 0 Raiser was guided by lasers emitted from the Gundam's backpack and back of its head. While the main body of the 0 Raiser folds and connects to 00's backpack, the support machine's left and right side binders separate and attach to the Gundam's GN Drives, which are located off the shoulders. Once docked, the composite sensor unit in the nose of the 0 Raiser, which was more powerful than the sensors normally installed in a mobile suit, could be used to benefit the 00 Raiser. Additionally, the pair of movable blue-colored fins on each of the 0 Raiser's side binders were deployed as large clavicle antennas, drastically enhancing 00 Raiser's ability to control its GN Particles. These antennas are in addition to smaller clavicle antennas installed on the 00's forehead and support antennas on the Gundam's chest. The 00 Raiser utilized the standard weaponry of both 00 and 0 Raiser, but the 00's GN Shields were omitted as the 0 Raiser's side binders doubled as shields, and the GN Vulcans installed in the 0 Raiser's main body were not used in this form as their firing direction was now fixed downwards. The 00 Raiser can also generate a spherical GN Field for defense. For the final battle, the 00 Raiser's main armament was changed from the pair of GN Sword IIs first used by the 00 to the new GN Sword III. Like the GN Sword II, the GN Sword III switches between different modes for melee and ranged combat, but it was more powerful and could better utilize the large amount of GN Particles released during Trans-Am.

When Trans-Am System is activated, 00 Raiser gained a boost in output greatly surpassing Trans-Am's usual three-fold increase, with the amount of GN Particles generated and emitted far beyond squaring, even exceeding theoretical limits. As a result, it acquired special abilities, such as teleportation through quantization and creation of a quantum space where people could transmit their thoughts to each other. Additionally, using the Raiser System alongside Trans-Am enabled 00 Raiser to attack with the "Raiser Sword", a gigantic beam saber emitted from the pair of GN Sword IIs or the GN Sword III. Due to these radical abilities, the 00 Raiser in Trans-Am mode was given its own name - "Trans-Am Raiser". It was later revealed that Trans-Am Raiser's quantum space could cause a human to evolve into a true Innovator, as seen with one of the mobile suit's pilots, Setsuna F. Seiei. Furthermore, the Trans-Am Burst System is activated when the quantum brainwaves of an Innovator worked together with the Twin Drive System, causing Trans-Am Raiser to release a massive amount of purified GN Particles. These particles have various effects, such as disrupting enemy Innovades' quantum brainwaves, and generating a large quantum space that caused the expansion of human consciousness, enabling people to communicate telepathically. The Trans-Am Burst's quantum space could also cause a human to evolve into an Innovator. The combination of the Twin Drive System and an Innovator pilot made the 00 Raiser more than a mere weapon, it is a machine that reforms humanity.
