The Radisson Hotel & Suites is a perfect location for your visit to the beautiful city of Gdansk.
The main hotel entrance is in the street behind the riverfront.
Check in was fast and friendly. We were allocated exactly what we'd booked - a Studio with separate living room and bedroom. As a Radisson VIP member, I asked about an upgrade, but the hotel was full and nothing was available.
We'd requested that the sofa bed made into a second bed - for when one of us has enough of my snoring!
The sofa bed was pretty uncomfortable - we've had more comfortable rollaway beds.
The kitchen area included a microwave, a fridge and a dishwasher. However, the only cups provided were for water and tea/coffee!
While asking for a late checkout (best they could do was 1pm), I asked about the lack of kitchen equipment. The front desk lady said "Oh, we can send up some plates and cutlery if you need some". "No, no, we don't need them and even if we used them, there aren't any dishwasher tablets anyway". "Oh, we can send some up if you like". "No, no, its fine I was just curious!".
Also missing were bathrobes and slippers. We later found that these needed to be requested at the spa reception and we kept these for duration of our stay, leaving them in the room on check out.
The main bedroom was cosy and had plenty of USB outlets.
The bathroom both modern and spacious.
Breakfast was always busy, but we found a smaller room up a small flight of stairs that was usually empty.
The buffet was pretty good and there was a cooked-to-order menu available.
The 'Eggs Benny' was very nice, although definitely more Benny than Benedict!
Nice to be able to take a bottle of water to your table.
No sparkling wine available - well not for free anyway.
The spa had plenty of facilities; small pool with hydrotherapy jets, wet/dry/Finnish saunas and a salt cave. Here is the hotel photo.
Sadly, it was always busy and there were usually kids splashing about. This, despite having to pre-book a time slot with an unenforced 75-minute time limit. There are adults-only slots available late evening. Nonetheless, we visited most days.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again. The desk agent told me that the hotel is almost always full, so don't expect an upgrade, early check-in or late check-out.
