Mountain gorillas are the only non human great ape that are increasing in number, a result of decades of intensive conservation action by multiple stakeholders. This talk will highlight some of the key lessons learned and how a people-centered approach to conservation that integrating on protection, science, capacity strengthening and exchange and community partnership is helping to ensure a future for the species.
