Today I am showing you how we make beautiful bath bombs using 99.3% natural ingredients. Our bath bombs are coloured with clays and scented with essential oils. They are decorated with a pinch of flower petals (though these can be left off if you prefer). These bath bombs do not float or bubble, they are designed to fizz and because they are so tightly packed with skin loving ingredients they will sink to the base of your tub, where they will fizz away releasing all the clay and essential oils into your bath water.
We have included palm free polysorbate 80 in this recipe to help emulsify the oils in the bath bomb with the bath water, but you can omit this is you wish to to make these bath bombs 100% natural. Just be aware that omitting the polysorbate may lead to a slippery tub when you try and get out!
The recipe to make 6 of these bath bombs is as follows::
Bicarbonate Of Soda 800g
Cream Of Tartar 10g
Citric Acid 400g
French Red Clay 20g
Apricot Kernel Oil 8g
Polysorbate 80 8g
5 Fold Orange Essential Oil 8g
Lavender Essential Oil 8g
Cedarwood Atlas Essential Oil 8g
Cornflower Petals Blue 0.3g
Cornflower Petals Pink 0.3g
Calendula Flower Petals 0.8g
Water 9 g
