Driving Around Webster University & Webster Groves, Missouri in 4k Video

Filmed on Thursday, November 28 2024, I drive around Webster Groves, MO and Webster University campus to see what's going on.

The city began in 1892 as a suburban neighborhood called Webster Park, which was designed to provide upscale housing in a country-like setting with a quick commute to St. Louis.

Webster Groves was officially formed in 1896 out of five suburban neighborhoods - Webster, Old Orchard, Webster Park, Tuxedo Park, and Selma. The neighborhoods merged in order to provide better public services.

Today, Webster Groves is not solely a suburb for wealthy residents. As described in Time Magazine in 1999, Webster Groves is a "pretty town of old elms and deep porches, with a mix of $90,000 cottages and $750,000 homes".
