Biography
For over 60 years, on four continents, James Middleton has juggled careers as classroom teacher and performing musician. His students’ remarkable successes have given him every bit as much satisfaction as have his awards as composer and arranger, or his various broadcast performances. He is honoured to share this recital with Michelle.

Michelle Velvin performs regularly as part of Orchestra Wellington and the NZSO and she is involved with diverse chamber music groups. As a musician her explorations have led to collaborations over wide-ranging genres and disciplines. In 2022 she released the debut album ‘Feather Spines’ as duo 'Tamira Pūoro’. Michelle is due to release her new album for harp and voice at the end of 2025.
