I was fortunate enough to be staying on Tavarua last week when a BIG swell rolled through Thursday. I took a break from riding to spectate (because death) and wanted to share a bunch of raw clips I shot from the channel of giant Cloudbreak! The sets were breaking solid on the second reef, which is WAY outside of the first reef that usually gets surfed, and even some cappers hit the third reef. For perspective if you've been there, the boat mooring buoys were all in the whitewash... Trust me, the pics & vids do not do justice to the experience of being there.
A handful of the top surfers in the world flew in for the party and while I had good conversations with a few of them, all very cool guys, I apologize that in the vids I'm not sure who was on what wave so if you know feel free to comment with a timestamp.
I also added a clip of the Fijians singing my favorite song at 8:35 which takes me there every time I hear it. :) Vinaka vakalevu to everyone who was there to share this amazing event!
