Terminator’s Walking Frog is a heavy, hollow-bodied soft plastic frog designed to be fished across the surface through lily pads. It is rear-weighted and heavier than most other frogs, making it easier to cast farther, and with more accuracy, on heavier tackle. Also, because it’s bulky and heavy, it pushes additional water with every twitch of the rod tip. Its pronounced side-to-side walking action allows you fish it nearly in place with deadly effectiveness.
The Walking Frog’s pointed nose helps steer it through dense lily pads and across matted surface vegetation. The rounded rubber legs flex and kick like a real frog. The hollow, compressible body protects the dual hook points from snagging vegetation during the retrieve; when fish strike, the body compresses, exposing the hook points for good hooksets.
Primary Species
Terminator’s Walking Frog is primarily used for bass casting applications, particularly for fishing lily pads and matted surface vegetation. Twitching the rod causes the Walking Frog to move from pad to pad or zig-zag across thick weeds. Pausing the lure in open spots between pads or thick weeds allows the floating frog to sit at rest, agitating nearby bass into striking. A Long, heavy rod allows longer casts, powerful hook sets and provide more muscle for yanking hooked fish out of heavy cover.
The Walking Frog can also be fished as a surface lure in open water, around flooded wood, brush, or fallen trees. Because it is heavy and able to be cast with precision, anglers also use it for underhanded skipping presentations beneath boat docks or overhanging trees.

30 lb. mono or 40-65 lb. superline works well with Medium to Heavy Action Casting Gear.
Secondary Species
Due to its unusually large size, the Walking Frog can also be cast for northern pike and muskies, particularly in and around shallow vegetation. Like all frogs, however, the soft body is not designed to withstand the slicing and dicing of sharp teeth.

Retrieve Options
A variety of retrieve options work well with this versatile lure.
Imparting a series of twitches with your rod tip causes the Walking Frog to slowly walk its way across the tops of lilly pads or thick weed cover in a zig-zag fashion often described as walking the dog. Because it is relatively heavy, it tends to skirt left-right while barely moving forward, allowing you to fish it within a relatively small strike zone for extended periods.
Pausing the retrieve when the lure reaches open pockets or the edges of thick cover allows bass an extended period to inspect the lure and infuriate them into striking.
As with all frogs, setting the hook too quickly in the face of approaching wakes and boils often results in missed strikes. The rule of thumb is, wait until you feel the fish on the line before you set the hook.
The Terminator Walking Frog is arguably the biggest bullfrog of all hollow-bodied frogs, easy to walk even for novice anglers.
