The brewing expertise imported from somewhere unspecified abroad almost certainly came from the Abdij St-Sixtus at Westvleteren in Flanders. Like the Westvleteren beers, and the St Bernardus Abt supposedly brewed nearby by the same chief brewer using the same recipe and ingredients, the beer tastes best if not drunk fresh -- instead, let it mature in the bottle for a few weeks at least, and chill it in the fridge for several days before opening
