10-26-13 , in my studio . David Robinson on the left , Paul Kennedy on the right . I teach and play drums and sing in BritBeat beatles tribute band , also i play lead guitar and sing lead vocals in the Attitudes . Paul Kennedy plays drums in Sexy Ester , Mulligan Stu , and many other bands . Paul was my 1st drum student back in 1989 . He propelled me ,,, to make me the better drummer i am today . I could Barely keep up teaching this gifted soulful drummer . Paul is the nicest guy in the world ,,,, i look at him like he is my son . Here , i presnt 3 forms of grooves . First a favorite foot ostinado i learned from anton fig on frehleys comet second sighting . 2nd is a cool off jazz groove ,,,, to allow for quick bursts of drumming climax sections ,,,, GREEEEEAT to relax . 3rd ,,,, the almighty up tempo Samba ,,,,,, a great exciting way to end a drum solo . We got away from each other at the end ,,,,, so we made a joke about it hahahaha ! Sounds cool though ,,, being off at the end ,,,,, everything starts sounding like Flams ! Tony Williams is my main influence when it comes to soloing on the drumset . Ringo Starr was my 1st drumming influence . Oh ,,,, also Paul is in high demand ,,, in the recording studios ........
