Peak week is here! With less than two weeks to go until the 2025 Chicago Marathon, I’m taking you inside my hardest week of training as I prepare to run 3:15:00 and attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the Fastest Female Marathon with Multiple Sclerosis.
In this video, you’ll see exactly what marathon peak week looks like — every workout, every mile, and the adjustments I made while coming off being sick. I’ll walk you through my full 50-mile training week and share the real decisions behind how I structure marathon training at this stage.
📅 Peak Week Breakdown:
• Monday – 6 miles easy + light full-body workout
• Tuesday – 6 miles easy
• Wednesday – 8 miles speed (3 x 1 mile @ 7:00 pace + floats)
• Thursday – 4 miles easy
• Friday – 20 miles (long run with speed work)
• Saturday – Rest day
• Sunday – 6 miles easy
Whether you’re training for your first marathon, aiming for a PR, curious about the Chicago Marathon, or just want to see what marathon training with MS really looks like, this video gives you an honest, inside look at peak week.
🎯 What you’ll learn:
• How to approach marathon peak week training
• How to adjust your plan when things don’t go perfectly
• The reality of marathon prep for a World Marathon Major
• What it’s like training with Multiple Sclerosis
If you’re running Chicago, another Abbott World Marathon Major, or just love following running journeys, this video will get you motivated for race day.
