We were out driving in a new area, way out in the country to go check out a new river, when we came across this little backwoods creek. We saw a few nice deep holes from the road, and decided to hike down and try it out. We ended up catching tons of awesome fish walking the creek using Nikko Hellgrammites on ned rigs and some small white crankbaits. I caught rock bass all day, and my younger brother Taylor caught a few really nice smallmouth bass. I also caught my new PB rock bass! Rock bass don't get huge, but they're a lot of fun to catch and they are so pretty, especially in these little crystal clear creeks with clean water. In Tennessee, a 10" rock bass is considered a trophy fish. I didn't measure mine, but he had to be close!
Gear used:

6 lb test mono
