We just spent a week in Perth for the school winter holidays, and knew we needed to go to Perth zoo for the first time during that week. It turned out to be one of the most fun family days we've had since getting to WA in January, and couldn't believe how many families were enjoying the picnic areas in the sunshine...DURING WINTER. It'll forever blow my mind how it's 18 degrees in winter here, compared to our -4 in the UK haha.

Cost wise, you really can't go wrong with most family activities being so affordable, but this was HALF THE PRICE of our usual stomping ground at Chester Zoo; and although it was a smaller zoo, I don't feel like you notice it because there's such a great variety of animals to see.
