I visited France for the very first time in 2021, and it was an experience I’ll never forget. I took the opportunity to explore parts of the south of France, spent time in the capital Paris, and had plenty of conversations with francophones.
Everyone was incredibly friendly. Someone let me walk under their umbrella when I got off the bus, people were eager to talk with me even though I was a complete stranger, and they even helped me when I struggled to order something at the local food market.
From stunning views and mountains to historic forts (and plenty of cats), France amazed me at every corner. I feel lucky to have had the chance to explore the neighborhoods at my own pace.
