There’s chatter that Russia might park its new Oreshnik hypersonic missiles in Venezuela — and the headlines are already screaming mushroom clouds over Miami. But does this actually make sense?

Using ICD-203 standards, I’ll walk through the reporting, the intel gaps, and the probability of this actually happening. Spoiler: Russia already has plenty of ways to hold the U.S. at risk without wasting money on a prestige missile farm in Venezuela.
