It's always a joy along with a lot of hard work to make these videos. But for me, this was a special treat as my dear wife who's also a subscriber finally requested this Qawwali video to be posted. Strangely, the author of this Qawwali is the Maqbool Ahmed Sabri Qawwal himself as he's also the singer with his elder brother Ghulam Fareed Sabri Qawwal. And you can even sense that Big Brother Ghulam Fareed himself is having a good time during this Qawwali session from his voice.

This Qawwali is full of hope but also the pain of longing and is just filled with beautiful but not overly cumbersome vocabulary. When it comes to the tune, it sounded very much like Raag Bilawal to me, but when checked with my good friend Meher Paralikar (https://bit.ly/3zjUvRI), he confirmed that it resembles more Mishra Pahadi than anything else, and is still not pure Mishra Pahadi.

Unlike other Qawwali that I've posted, this is more of a Ghazal in the sense that it doesn't take the name of Prophet Muhammad (Peace is Upon Him), nor the names of Allah's Saints. It doesn't take the names of any known faith-based figures from history but talks mainly about longing, love, and hope.
