This presentation explains how I built a half hull model of the Wm. Fife designed cutter 'Minerva" (circa 1888). The model was build from a set of plans I purchased from The Wooden Boat Store in Brooklin Maine. I used local wood to build her..the hull is B.C. Douglas Fir and the waterline is Western Red Cedar. The backboard is a hefty piece of curly Sepele.
