Harlan County Christmas Parade – Route, Viewing Spots, & Road Closures

The magic of Christmas is taking over downtown Harlan, and we want you to have the perfect spot to enjoy every float, twinkling light, and moment of hometown cheer!

This year’s parade will begin at Harlan Baptist Church and travel down Main Street toward the Harlan Center, following the full designated route throughout downtown before returning to the starting point. The map below highlights some of the best viewing areas, including:

Main Street – classic, close, and full of Christmas charm
E Clover Street – spacious and perfect for families
Around Harlan High & Middle School – great sight lines for photos
The Harlan Center stretch – lots of room and a festive atmosphere

Road Closures & Parking Reminders
To ensure a safe parade experience for participants and spectators, several streets will be closed from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM:

• Main Street from Mound Street to Clover Street
• Clover Street from Main Street to Williams Street
• Central Street from Williams Street to 1st Street
• 1st Street from Central Street to Mound Street

All vehicles must be moved from these areas before 4:00 PM.
Any vehicle left parked along the route will be towed at the owner’s expense.
