Back when this game first launched, it was quite a big deal to have such a dynamically different tune for the Main Theme of the game, but it instantly gained a lot of traction from fans because of the animations of the enemies and back ground objects that moved and did special things during key parts of the song.
Remix really came down to upgrading the beat, combining Chip and Electro, and just giving the overall balance more fullness.
