Between 1943 and 1962 the aircraft inventory of the Netherlands Fleet Air Arm(MLD) consisted mainly of bombers(B25). patrol aircraft(PBY) and fighters(Firefly, Seafury and Avenger). The area of responsibility was enormous , Indian archipelago, New Guinea and Northern Atlantic. After 1962 the MLD main task was Anti Submarine Warfare(ASW).
