It had been a few weeks since I took my Solar Electric Catamaran SolGato out for a cruise, and a few days before Earth Day I noticed the small boat ramp at the bottom of Kalihiwai River had been fixed up, so a few days later I rolled SolGato off the trailer and cruised all the way up until I could go no further where the river turns into a stream, and with the motors in shallow trim mode and navigating via wired remote from the bow, I was able make my way up into the shallows, drop anchor in less than a foot of water, and relax for a bit and take in the peaceful beauty this river has to offer.
