If you can make it to the actual trailhead, the hike of Castle Dome Peak is only about a 6 mile round trip. Since I don't have a high clearance or 4 wheel drive vehicle, I had to park a decent ways away and hike a large portion of the way on the dirt roads. I also made a few mistakes which added mileage and time, so I ended up doing over 21 miles. However, the scenery is beautiful, the climbing is fun, and the views are great.
