Camouflaged Model Y, Cortex 2 & Switchyard Expansion! 15 January 2026 Giga Texas Update (07:38 AM)

Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cybertruck production happens and in 2026, the Next Generation Car(s), Cybercab & the Optimus Robot!

It was the coldest morning so far this winter, but bright blue skies, light winds and otherwise perfect flying weather to fly!

Interesting set of Model Y’s in the Giga Texas outbound lot this morning. The wheels are covered and there is a large sticker on the rear hatches with geometric designs on them … note sure what these indicate, but it is a new development for sure. What do you think these are?

The electrical switchyard expansion project at Giga Texas which is critical for powering all the Cortex 1 & 2 AI Datacenter’s along with the growing factory complex is making great progress! Today, the 3rd huge transformer base & catch basin is being poured with concrete while the 2nd huge transformer is getting its equipment installed to support operation.

Giga Texas’ Cortex 2 electrical supply system continues to take shape on the west side of the facility with new expansion work evident today along with an asphalt strip defining the boundary of this work. New steel assembly on the low screw piers today too … not what I had expected to see, but it is beginning to resemble more of XAI’s Colossus Datacenter construction appearance.
