On October 25th, 1994, Susan Smith of Union, South Carolina, reported to police that a black man had stolen her car with her two young children inside. Just over a week later she admitted that she had killed her own children. This is the story of Susan Smith as told by news station WLOS, whose daily coverage showed how the story turned from heartbreak to outrage.
