大船渡市にて、地震発生の瞬間を捉えた映像（大船渡郵便局付近で撮影）。震度6弱。岩手めんこいテレビ大船渡支局記者が支局待機中、地震発生とともに屋外に出て撮影。
激しく揺れる電柱や電線。長引く揺れ。
うずくまる人や屋外に逃げ出てきた人たちなどもいる。
小走りに行き交う街の人々。
地割れした道路なども確認される。消防車も繰り出し、街はにわかに騒然としていく。
家具や荷物などが散乱した民家の室内を撮影中、余震が発生し、撮影者もあわてて外へ飛び出した。

A reporter of Iwate Menkoi TV Ofunato branch standing by at the office rushed outside as the quake occurred and shot the video. Electric poles/lines are vigorously swaying as the shaking prolongs. There are people crouching down and running outside to escape. The townspeople are quickly trotting by. Cracked roads are witnessed. Fire trucks drive out and the town suddenly becomes astir. While video recording a room of a private home where things and furniture are scattered about, an aftershock breaks out and the reporter alarmingly rushes back outside.
