Bollywood Legend Dharmendra Passes Away at 89 — Industry, Fans Pay Tribute | News9

Legendary Bollywood actor Dharmendra, fondly known as the “He-Man of Bollywood,” passed away at the age of 89 after a prolonged illness, just days before his 90th birthday on December 8, 2025. A Padma Bhushan awardee and former MP from Bikaner, Dharmendra’s illustrious career spanned over six decades, featuring more than 300 films and iconic roles that defined generations.

From action-packed blockbusters like Sholay, where he earned ₹1.5 lakh, to romantic and comedic gems such as Phool Aur Patthar, Chupke Chupke, and Khamoshi, Dharmendra’s versatility and charm made him a beloved figure across India. He is survived by six children, and the Deol family is in mourning.
