Four men are expected to appear in the Kempton Park Magistrates' Court on Monday after they were arrested at OR Tambo International Airport for allegedly attempting to travel to Russia to join a foreign military.
The Hawks say the men were intercepted on Friday after being flagged as suspicious while en route to the UAE.
A South African woman is believed to have facilitated their recruitment.
