The Miracle of Birth: Midwives Season 1 Episode 6 |Parenthood

This week, and the final week of Midwives we are looking back at how the mums are coping with their babies.

In this six-part observational documentary series, we witness the daily work that is done in the wards of The National Maternity Hospital, where a team of midwives work day and night to give mums to be the support they need during their pregnancy, right through to those first special days with their new babies. The series also follows a number of women in the final stages of their pregnancy journeys, all of whom are very different but are all on the same special journey of meeting their new baby. As we join the midwives in supporting these women through their journeys, we learn that no matter how many babies they hold in their arms, the special feeling of delivering a new life into the world never fades.
