Pretty much every Las Vegas fanboy knows the name and legend of Frank Rosenthal. Even casual fans of the 1995 movie Casino have a good idea of the man. One of the facts that bridges both islands is that Frank hosted a weekly (?) television talk show. I couldn’t tell you the ‘How?’ and ‘Why?’ behind it all, I’ll leave that to better informed historians and fans.
What I will tell you is this is the only recording of a full Rosenthal episode I manage to find. It was put up in two parts several months ago by Debbi McKay ( / @djdebbi1 )
How to describe this? Las Vegas! Disco! Late 1970’s! What else do you need to know?!....other than when you see Rosenthal dance at the end of the show, you notice that his moves are as stiff as his hosting technique….I had visions of SCTV’s Mel’s Rock Pile stomping in my head.
