Hi guys. Today I’m again going to meet Dr Blanche Themudo, my dentist. She’s taking me to a place called Kingslee in Betalbatim, where she says the food is lovely. So I’m looking forward to another lovely Sunday lunch with Dr Blanche

Kingslee bar and restaurant is around the corner from Betalbatim’s Our Lady of Remedios church. We are coming from the Colva side on the Dabolim-Cavelossim road, toward Betalbatim. When you reach Betalbatim market, turn right along the church wall. Then immediately take the next right. Kingslee restaurant is just a few metres away on the left

This is a lovely place. I just like the vibe. Sometimes you get into a place, you get a positive feeling

It’s entirely up to doctor what we’re eating, since she knows best, she's come here so many times. She decided on dried bombil masala and pork chops.

Straight away they served us lovely tor (pickled raw mango slices)

The bombil masala was nice and kurkurit, sweet and tangy

Pork chops looked fabulous. First time I had a pork chop where the main flavour is the pork and not some spice or masala. Lovely

Then we had the gorgeous Goan beef roast. They use a generous amount of garlic, which gives it that flavour. It had a nice smoky flavour, very special

Very reasonable prices also

We had a great time

And lucky for me doctor brought me here so another fantastic place to eat in my neighbourhood
