Pop superstar Katy Perry is among a select few celebrities to travel to space aboard Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin rocket. In April, she joined other space tourists like William Shatner, Michael Strahan, and Bezos himself on the New Shepard craft.
But it’s not just for the famous — anyone can pay to experience the same suborbital journey past the Kármán line.
Dubai Eye’s Georgia Tolley caught up with two Blue Origin astronauts visiting the UAE to promote space tourism: Austin Litteral, a risk management expert and father of two who flew on NS-28, and Dr. Gretchen Green, a radiologist and author who became the first female physician commercial astronaut on NS-32.
