About the Speaker:
Sheikh Yasir Birjas is originally from Palestine and was born and raised in Kuwait. He started his career in electronic engineering in 1998 in the UAE, then in Madinah where he graduated as class valedictorian with the highest honors from The Islamic University of Madinah's College of Shariah in 1996. He had also earned his masters degree in adult education and training from the University of Phoenix in the spring of 2013.
In 1997, after the war was over, he went to work as a relief program aide under the international umbrella of relief agencies to rebuild the war-torn Bosnia. Therefore, and in the year 2000, he immigrated to the U.S.
Yasir Birjas served as an Imam and religious leader in a few Islamic centers around the country before settling as an Imam for the Valley Ranch Islamic Center in Irving TX. He is a committed Imam, exceptional teacher who holds special classes for sisters which is sitting room only each week, and very concerned about reverts to Islam and all those who need his expert advice. His specialty in the subject of marriage and relations made him a highly sought marriage counselor and trainer for the youth and the Muslim community. He is renowned instructor for Al-Maghrib and has an awesome class for love notes coming soon to Portland. His latest initiative was USRAH360 a Muslim Family Institute that focuses on the family at every stafe of life.
