"How strong is Sonic the Hedgehog? There are a lot of videos on youtube asking this question, or similar ones, talking about how Sonic or Satoro Gojo or Goku would fare against villains from another franchise. The appeal of these types of videos is obvious, and it’s no wonder that a community would spawn around this type of discussion. Enter “powerscaling”, the practice of using calculations, feats, and in-universe statements to try and determine the power level of a certain character. To be perfectly honest, I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with powerscaling, but that’s neither here nor there. There’s a pretty specific reason I wanted to make this video, and it has to do with an experience I had with the franchise. Specifically, a fight in issue 54 of the comics. These are canon to the games as of Frontiers, for the record, so this is an important detail."
