I really love the arranged marriage cliché, especially when its an enemies to lovers. Oh to be y/n (;´༎ຶٹ༎ຶ`)

Alright here we go.. So heres the context, your a royal who was put into an arranged marriage with a prince (or a princess if you like!) and now your trying to escape the castle to get to your true lover. Sound good? Okay let's go! (●’◡’●)ﾉ

"My father has proposed that the two of us should marry in order to bring peace to both our kingdoms.."

The prince's words lingered in the back of your mind as you slipped outside into murky forest- escaping from the castle at the dead of night wearing just your dainty night attire had not been something you'd ever picture yourself doing, yet here you where..

You sighed shivering clutching on the single lantern you'd brought. At this point you where far from the castle, in the middle of nowhere. Drooping trees surrounding you, leaves crunching to every step you took. The winter sky was enchanting to you especially how the stars gleamed in contrast to the sombre nightfall, you stood peacefully feeling the cool breeze brush past your back and through your hair. It wasn't until long that you heard loud footsteps behind you, turning around you shined the dim lantern into that direction.

"Who's there?!"
The footsteps stopped and you looked up to see the prince on a horse. Your heart stopped as he got off to stand in front of you. He gave a low sigh.

"I read the letters.."
Just the other night you received a letter from your true lover, the two of you had been planning to run away and meet together. You thought you'd kept the letters well hidden but it seemed not.

"I- I'm sorry.. I don't, I can't love you.."
Your voice trailed of as the prince's figure loomed over you. You stared at the ground, fidgeting with your night attire. The night drew colder and colder as the two of you stood silently.

"I.. I do understand. Here these are yours, I was planning to give these to you go back to the castle with you but I can see thats something you wouldn't want.. I know we've only known each other for a month at the least but I- I love you, I want you to be happy.. and if this is the price I have to pay in order for that to happen I'll let it slide.."
You felt your heart stop at these words as the prince then gave you what looked like your jacket, one of your favourite outfits and a small bag of food.

"Here, you take the horse. I know you need it more than I do.."

"No, no please- you need that I can walk its not that far-"
It was a lie. You didn't know where you where going or where you should be but this seemed like too much.

"Please.. I'll be fine. Now be on your way darling, I'll think of a way for them to not worry about you. I- goodbye.."
Slipping the jacket, on you hugged the prince. Someone you had resented for so long.. who knew could act so caring.

"Thank you for this.."
