Logan and I put together a Roycroft pack frame and tested it on a hike in a maple forest. Not sure if i like it better than a pack but the option of putting as much as you like and in any shape on your back is definitely an advantage. Also your pack is your shelter.Very versatile with an external frame. The best thing about it is the whole thing cost under 10 dollars of materials. As for the rest of the day we made an a frame shelter and ate some stew before heading home. great day!
