How to hand knit a 2-color Fisherman's Rib - reversible, no-curl, easier than Brioche stitch

Sometimes, I want to hold the yarn and sit in a comfy chair rather than knitting with a machine. It is meditative and relaxing compared to machine knitting.

I have a tutorial for the 2-color fisherman's rib stitch. It has the look of the 2-color Brioche stitch but is easier to knit. This is not an easy stitch and will take some trial and error initially, but the result is rewarding. Use a lifeline every couple of inches in case you have to rip back for fixing mistakes.

The yarn I use is the Caron Colorama Halo-Perfect Phasing. This is my current favorite. It is so soft and pretty, even though it is just acrylic. It feels like alpaca yarn.
