GROW SPONGE CHOICE AND LETTUCE SEEDLINGS

Quick observations, not a full test, of 3 different grow sponges used in countertop gardens and the corresponding germination of fresh lettuce seeds. Can you save money and use generic sponges from Amazon? Should you go with a proven manufacturer's product? Are all proven grow company products equally good? Consider the freshness of the grow sponges, are those used per instructions, and if synthetic versus organic is a consideration.
