Tropical vs Sidereal Astrology: Recent Developments

The tropical zodiac

1. Is now understood as a structure in space created through dimension reduction. This is consistent with ideas in physics. The tropical zodiac is NOT based on seasons. The structures in space are a kind of sacred geometry which creates both the tropical zodiac and the seasons, and

2. Is supported by controlled research studies and not just by personal observation and anecdotal evidence.

The sidereal zodiac does not have a clear theoretical framework and controlled research studies that support the sidereal zodiac have not, to my knowledge, been conducted.

Astrologers who use the sidereal zodiac can advance sidereal astrology by conducting studies using the sidereal zodiac that are similar to the studies that support tropical astrology.

Appeals to history are not convincing. Whether people believed in something consistently in the past is not a clear demonstration that it works. Also, different historians of astrology draw different conclusions about the history of the zodiac.

Other issues are that the constellations are very different from sidereal signs, the fixed stars have their own proper motion, and the stars that make up a constellation are not near each other. All of these are reasons that weaken the argument that the sidereal zodiac is in some way more real than the tropical zodiac. Also, in terms of new developments in quantum physics and other areas of physics, the foundation of the tropical zodiac is reasonable and consistent, whereas a similar formulation for the sidereal zodiac has not yet been discovered.

In conclusion, the single most important thing that can be done to advance sidereal astrology would be to conduct studies similar to those conducted for the tropical zodiac and to obtain findings that also support the validity of the sidereal zodiac.
