Molly Meldrum interviewed Michael Jackson four times long his huge carrer.

In 1977, Michael Jackson gave an interview to Australian journalist Molly Meldrum for the TV show Countdown, which took place in New York. During the interview, Jackson discussed his role as the Scarecrow in The Wiz, his excitement about working with Diana Ross and director Sidney Lumet, and the Jackson family's success.

(On 19th of November 1996, Michael Jackson was in Brisbane and was interviewed by Molly Meldrum to be later broadcast over the weekend for the popular Australian TV variety comedy show Hey Hey It's Saturday. Michael only EVER trusted and relied on Molly when it comes to interviews over many MANY years given the fame, sensitivity and fierceness of his privacy and reputation. Molly was given a set of strictly scripted questions for Michael including what he did in his downtime. Molly did ask one question out of left field which threw Michael. They both love Stephen King, and Molly had one of his books and simply asked Michael to sign, which he obliged without hesitation.
