If you have a Traeger smoker grill that is not heating up properly, chances are it could be a number of things. One of the ways you can narrow down the problem is by simply listening to it, and if need be, taking some things apart in order to hopefully get a better look at what the problem could be. If it sounds like it's noticeably quieter, you may have a bad convection fan.
This video will show you how to replace the convection fan on an older style Traeger smoker unit. This is a very easy repair that requires only one necessary tool to complete. You'll need a 1/4" nut driver socket to remove the four screws securing the fan assembly to the unit in order to remove the old assembly, to which then you can install the new one likewise. You may need a knife if yours has a zip-tie on it to remove the wire from the old fan so that you can connect the new one. I hope this video helps you out!
