Описание:

As our communities become dominated by the grey landscapes of the built environment Steve Whitman helps us visualize a world that is shifting to green. Through the power of green infrastructure and the development review process already in place in most communities we can shift from outdated approaches with limited benefits to natural solutions with many benefits. The result will be a network of protected natural areas complimented by green design solutions such as green roofs, bioswales, and food forests that deliver a wide range of ecosystem services.

Dr. Steven Whitman is a professional planner, designer and educator based in New Hampshire. His work is focused largely on community planning and ecological design related issues. Steve is the founder and principal of Resilience Planning & Design LLC, a certified permaculture teacher, and an adjunct faculty member at Plymouth State University. He frequently teaches courses in the US and internationally on topics related to environmental planning and permaculture, and lives in Plymouth, NH where he participates in a wide range of grassroots efforts that promote community resilience.
