Poncho is a three-year-old white kitty who lives in rural St Francisville, Louisiana. He got stuck in a tree in the wooded area behind his house and was there for three nights before I rescued him. I had lots of trouble getting my rope installed in his tree, and he was frightened by all the commotion I created as well as my presence in the tree with him. Once I touched him gently, he felt immediately reassured and became the friendly cat he normally is. I spread the cat bag over my lap and encouraged him to step on it. It took the enticement of some wet food before he did so, but once he was fully on my lap, I pulled the sides of the bag up around him and secured him inside.
